Muzi Network uses cookies to remember who you are. If the cookie cannot be set correctly, then Muzi Network cannot determine if you are logged in and serve the right page to you. If you wish to know more about cookies, and how we use them click here.

So What Went Wrong?

There are many reasons why a cookie could not be set correctly, here are the most common reasons:

You browser does not support cookies. For those who are interested in the technical aspects of cookies vs. broswers, the full details as to which particular browsers support cookies can be found here. Important: If you are using Netscape Navigator 4.0 version, make sure the Preference was set such that the browser will accept cookie. Go under Edit - Preference - Advance: make sure the Accept Cookie option is selcted.
You have cookie notification switched on in your browser and you did not accept the accept the cookie set request. To remedy this, hit your browser's back button and try again, please accept the cookie this time.
Very Important: Check the date on your computer. If your computer's clock shows a date before 1 Jan 1970 or after 31st Dec 1999, then the browser will automatically forget the cookie. To fix this, simply set the correct time and date on your computer.
You have installed an application that monitors/blocks cookies being set. To remedy this, please disable the application while logging in.

What is a Cookie?

A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your web browser from a web server. This data is never executed as code, so it can't contain programs or viruses, and can't be longer than 4,000 characters. Cookies are generally used to help web sites determine the state of your client.

Muzi Network server uses a cookie simply to record your unique Usercode (a 16-digit unique code of yours as described in your membership info section). We do this so that wherever you go in MyMuzi, E-box or BluePage, we know exactly what to display for you, vs to other none-members.

Why does MuziNet use Cookies

First, we should make it clear that we only use cookies to help identity you to our server only. We then set a cookie on your browser with your usercode so that when you visit any of the previously mentioned MuziNet pages, we know it's you but not others.

We also use cookies so that you don't have to bother logging in everytime when you visit MuziNet. For example, when you type http://my.muzi.net, a personalized page of your own will be delivered directly to you without you typing the password and username again. As a result, you may access that page with a easy bookmark under your bookmart menu.

What about Security?

A cookie cannot but used to extract data from your system. When a cookie is set, your browser checks it for length, an expiration date, and the domain from which it came. This domain checking means that only MuziNet can access your membership cookie. We WILL NOT distribute your cookie or login information to other companies under ANY circumstances.

Our login/password setting is used primarily to identify you to our system. It provides some measure of security, but it is certainly not foolproof. Since we use cookies to make logging in more convenient (once you do, you don't have to again), this also means that anyone with access to your computer can see use your MuziNet membership account. If you want to prevent this, you can click on the Log out button in the frontpage or MyMuzi page, to log out of the system and flush your cookie. When you return to MYmuzi page again, you'll see the login screen and will have to enter your login name and password.
